Finding a perfect home is close to impossible with out the perfect real estate agent. You need to find on that you think can vouch for you and who can keep your best interests in mind. Finding one of those isnt as easy as you would think.

First of all you need to know what questions to ask. Make sure that they work in the area that you are looking. You cant expect them to know anything about the crime rate or the school system if they arent familiar with the area. So make sure they have a strong working presence where you are looking.

Make sure you like them. If you have a strong personality getting with a real estate agent that has a weak personality is a mix for disaster. You want someone who is a good match for you. If you feel like they are pushing you into doing things you arent sure about, then find someone else. Dont stick with a real estate agent you feel uncomfortable with.

You also need to make sure that your real estate agent has your best interest in mind. If you have given them a list of what you want and dont want, and they are consistently bringing you places that dont match up with your expectations, then look for another agent. Chances are they are only bringing you places that will pad their pockets.

Having a good real estate agent that will work with you towards your goals is a must have for any prospective home buyer. You can go through the steps alone, but it is much harder. You should try to make the process as easy as possible, so that you can get into your dream house sooner, and with fewer headaches. Go out there and start looking for your perfect realtor match.
